Pi.bio was looking for an inaugural brand identity to support their upcoming fundraising activities. The company develops new techniques to advance the treatment of disease. The specific biology behind their technology inspired the geometric shapes and the Lego-like edges which reference the way in which their intervention bonds to existing cells.
I created a striking, modular logo that simplifies down to a simple 'pb.' mark. It’s accentuated by a futuristic color palette and dynamic block pattern that gives their pitch deck a fresh, futuristic feel.
Reimagining the pitch deck
The team came to me with a simple, wireframe narrative of the Pi.bio story. It was my responsibility to rework their notes into a fleshed-out story that used visual devices to clearly convey their ideas, and create a sense of credibility.
When designing the pitch deck, I wanted to create a cohesive identity by introducing the corner angles wherever I could. This meant reworking the corners of section blocks, creating custom-drawn numerals and re-imagining scientific diagrams. With consistency in all these details, the presentation has a strong brand voice.
